Privacy Policy

CommRecon helps insurance agencies reconcile commissions. You upload an expected-commission file and a carrier statement, and we compare the two to surface where they disagree. This page explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and who else touches it.

It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us at admin@sawangtech.com and we will explain it.

What we collect

• Account info. Your email address and your organization name when you sign up.
• The files you upload. The spreadsheet data you bring in for reconciliation. In practice this usually includes policy numbers, customer names, premiums, and commission amounts.
• Payment info. Handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your subscription status and plan.
• Basic usage analytics. Aggregate information about how the product is used, so we can see what works and what is broken.

How we use it

We use the data above to:

• Run the reconciliation you asked for and show you the results.
• Process your subscription and keep your account active.
• Fix bugs and improve the product over time.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your uploaded files to train any model.

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers to run CommRecon. Each one only gets the data it needs to do its job.

• Stripe for payments and subscription billing.
• Resend for transactional email, such as sign-in and account messages.
• An AI parsing provider used only to map the columns in your spreadsheet to the fields we expect. The actual financial values are checked by deterministic rules, not by the AI. The AI helps us read your file layout; it does not decide what counts as a discrepancy.
• Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, if analytics is enabled.

How we handle your data

The data you upload is commission and financial data. It is not health data, so HIPAA does not apply to CommRecon.

When you run a reconciliation, we process your files to produce the comparison and the exception report. We keep your files and results so you can come back and review past runs. You can ask us to delete them at any time, and we will remove your uploaded data when you close your account or request it directly.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, export your reconciliation data, or delete it. Email admin@sawangtech.com and we will take care of it.

Security

We use standard practices to protect your data in transit and at rest, and we limit who on our side can access it. We will be honest: CommRecon is an early-stage product. We are still building out our processes, and we will update this page as our security posture matures.
